THE DIG DAY OUT

THE AWESOME BIG DAY OUT

The Big Day Out was really awesome (as you can tell from the title.) I had lots of fun but it sucks how we can only go when we are year sixes. In my group their was Bradie, Tienika, Me, Rebbecca, George, Anmol and Danila. First we did the Confidence Course, It was disgusting...BLUGH. Then while we were freezing cold we did the Water Slide. Then we washed off in the showers. The girls showers were FLOODED. We relaxed and had some food. Then my group went to the Flying Kiwi. It was CRACK-UP. Then we SPRINTED to the Air Rifles. I got a score of 10. Then we had sausage sizzle and a fizzy drink for lunch. The last activity for our group was Rock Climbing.

I had a awesome time.

MY GROUP STARTED EARLY THATS WHY WE ENDED FAST.

I ACTUALLY CLIMBED 3TIMES UP THE CLIMBING WALL AT THE TOP.

MY GROUP WAS SNEAKY AND WHEN WE WENT TO THE MUD SLIDE SOME OF US WENT 2 PEOPLE DOWN(HEHE)

YA IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Camp Adair Big Day Out

Camp adair was fun it was cool to hang with friends and just have fun with people i dont really know that well, my fave part was the mud slide the confidence course was skinky and had me gagging it was very muddy i was coved in mud head to toe

It was so fun zoooming down the mud slide. This was the water you went zooming in to. There were holes and bumps on the way down. You went down on a black plastic slide.

bIG dAY oUT was awesome!!! I liked the flying kiwi, air rifles, confidence course and mudslide! But the mudslide was slimy at the bottom... Anyways, the mudslide was sooooooooo fast (because I'm small), and the air rifles were cool too. I shot an 8 and a 5. Hope I get to go again!

IT was so fun! The only down part was Mrs Stewart losing to Mrs P on Air Rifles it made me laugh lol. I had so much fun I will remember this event for ages probably when I have no Teeth.

It was great when all the year 6's went to Camp Adair. It was really funny when Mrs Paniora a Mrs beat Stewart in air rifles.  

Big Day Out!

On December 7th 2012 we had Big Day Out Camp Adair.It was awesome we done mudslide, Flying Kiwi, Confidence Course, Air Rifles and Rock Climbing. For lunch we had a sausage sizzle and fizzy drinks. My favourite was Mudslide. We had to where our shoes in the Confidence Course and all the mud was stuck in my shoe, it was gross.

BIG DAY OUT

On the 7th of December the year six students went to camp Adiar in huna. My favourite activity was the flying kiwi because you got pulled up in the air and put down by your team, I also thought the rock climbing even though your team had to pull you up and put you down. Over all it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I was a fantastic day for the year sixes of papaskura central school because they were going to big day out!

There were five activities Air rifles, rock climbing, confidence course and flying kiwi. I really enjoyed it all and i enjoyed it even more because my friends were there. I had a great day and i would do it all again!

The big day out was awesome!! It had air rifles that you shoot on a target, a confidence course that had lots of mud, a mud slide that is fast, bumpy and has a big muddy pool a the end, a flying kiwi device that makes you fly, and a wall climb. The best part about big day out was the confidence course because there are lots of obsticles that made it fun! the downfall of it was the mud smelt like cow poop!

All the year sixes went to big day out on the 7th! It was heaps of fun! My favourite was the flying kiwi (even though on my first run up i slipped over and got mud all over me)! The rock climing was also really awesome and i got right up to the top! i really really enjoyed it and i wish i could do it all again!!!

Hey Room 7!

Wasn't the Big Day Out trip awesome!! I had a really great time with my friends, my absolute favourite activity was the flying kiwi, it was so cool! We even pulled my dad up there! It was so funny, but he was quite hard to pull when he was attached to the rope. What was your favourite? I also liked the mudslide, all though I got the muddy water all over my face and almost swallowed it! (GROSS)! Rock climbing was fun too, but it ws really hard, my team kept pulling really tight and gave me a wedgie...(OUCH)! Confidence course was fun and gross at the same time, I liked swinging on the rope over the muddy water, that was fun...even though it was stinky and I got muck all through my shoes! They were really muddy and stinky afterwards, as if they were stinky enough! (LOL) :P But even though lots of the activities included mud and stink, I still had a really fun time at Camp Adair...I hope you did too!

This is my Andy Goldsworthy art.

Scared

I tried to scream but nothing came out. Next thing I know a creepy guy who was holding an axe wants us to follow him into the Haunted House. His name was Shadow.

"This is really scary" I say as I squeze my mums hand.We follow the creepy man into a room filled with arms and legs. "This is the Butcher room" Shadow says. I feel really spooked out. Thats probley why they call it Spookers.

We have moved to the next room. "Whoa" I say as I see a room with newspaper EVERYWHERE, then I see a very evil looking girl standing next to the door. "Make sure you dont go to close to her, she gets very angry very easily" Warns Shadow. "WHAT, how are we meant to not go close to her!" I yell. We walk against the wall and sneak out the door.

We make our way into a room with a big dinning table in the middle of it. The table has got heaps of party food on it. I gasp as I see zombies dressed in party clothes. " I'm guessing this is the party room" I say sarcasticly. "Yep" Shadow answers. "Next up, the DOLLS ROOM!" Shadow says evily.

We slowly walk into the Dolls room. " Remember to make your fingers like a cross. Reminds Shadow. I quickly make my fingers like a cross. "These dolls are creepy" States Shan. "Yeah" I agree. "I wonder why Shadow didn't come in this room" We meet Shadow outside the room. "The tour is finished" Says Shadow. "Yes" I mutter under my breath.

We are finally leaving. In the end it was more funny than scary. "Did you like it?" Asked Laurence. "Yes" Me and shan both answer. "What was your favourite part?"Mum asked. "Umm, I liked the Butcher room." I answerd. "Same" Said Shan.

Cross Country Running Instuctions

When Mrs Hunt says go one by one  lines go up the hill and through the gates. Down Ray Small Drive  you run to ST.Johns and over the road [watch out for cars]. After you've done that go up the hill and turn left onto Elliot Street. Go down the hill and past the R.S.A. Go up the a little hill past the skate park near the toilets you can take a break [in the toilets if you want]. Next go into the park stay to the foot path. After go up the hill. Go down the hill and turn left onto Mossford Green. Keep running till you go down the hill. Turn left onto Ray Small Drive. Keep running till you go up the hill. Sprint on the strait and through the gates.

Hi room 7 i have had so much fun this in the holiday I went to wellington to pick up my dads new hot rod. Well we stopped there for two nights and 3 days. It was so!!! fun.

Yay for holidays!

Hi Room 7,
How are your holidays going? I'm posting this blog to check who's reading our blog! Im having a great time in Perth, Australia. Having a great time catching up with my family and cousins.It's really sunny here and warm. How is the weather back home, still wet and cold? Before I came to Australia I went to Hastings. I created an Andy Goldsworthy sculpture using pebbles on the beach. As soon as I download it from my phone I will post it here. I hope if you read this you can take your own and post it here. I'm also checking on mathletics I hope you've been practicing!!!

week 6 was book week i really enjoyed it because we buddied with year twos we also got to do really fun activites and ALOT of art it was really messy but fun!:)

one book i would recomend is the shearwater bell

A book I would recommend is Little woman.

It's a book about 4 sisters and their mother, and they face troubles in the life while their Papa is at the civil war.

Meg is the eldest and the most vain,

Jo is second-to-oldest and tomboyish,

Beth is the sweet and musical one, that is everyones favourite,

And Amy is the "goose" and the youngest.


I give it a 9 and 1/2 rating out of ten. :)

I enjoyed painting cat in the hat and recomend people to read this book it was really interesting I had fun drawing the cat on paint on the computer with my buddy.\

Book Week

What I enjoyed about book week was in the Auditoruim when we saw Mrs Fox, Mrs Rowlands and Mrs Miller play a Scene in a story that was pretty funny. The book that I recomend is Cat in the Hat because Its an Interesting book and its perfect for the age from 6 to 9.

I really enjoyed Book Week because we got to work with year twos and write our own stories from an actual story written eg; 'The Cat in the Hat.' It was really fun, and I haven't done it since I was year two! So it was really cool to do it for my last year at PCS. :)

What I Liked about Book Week was...

Making bumblebees in Room 18 because we got to make a background and paint, Presenting our work on Friday because there were cool artwork, The Animal book parade because there were cool costumes. I recomened Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows beacause its is an awesome book. Age 11-17.

I liked the animal book parade because it was fun seeing all the costumes and giving house points to the best!

I saw some really good costumes out there! (e.g. lion masks, shrek, the cat in pyjamas, and the Darth Vader!)

Hi guys
                  In the holidays i went to two movies. The movie that went to was mirror mirror. It had the characters of a princes a prince with a friend and little dwarf also a queen and  king and dragon lastly survives. The other movie i watched was the hunger games. It was sad. It was about a little girl how got chosen to do something and her sister did it for her. The sad thing was only one team could survive. it probably sounds complicated. you will understand it better if you watch it. Also i hope everyone had a happy Easter. : ) : )  from Tyler.R

Facts about war

• The second world war ended when America dropped the atom bomb on Japan and Japan surrendered.
• Most of the ANZAC's died when they landed on the wrong beach in Gallipoli at ANZAC cove.
• When white flags were raised that meant to tell the enemy to hold on and not to shoot for they were entering no mans land.
• Soldiers would use a periscope instead of popping their head up because if they did they would get shot at.
• Soldiers put there helmets on top of the trench and if the enemy shot at it that would mean the enemy was still out and it wasn't safe.

On monday 19th we went to the muesum. It was so fun.The best thing about the muesum was when we did was watch the play. The least thing was it was raning. That made me disapointed. But ather wise it was really fun. The intreasting part about the muesum trip was when all the names were on this white wall. The names were careved in at it felt nice. There was people with the same last name and i saw my gt gt on the wall.

Positive: I really enjoyed the water slide because even Mrs Stewart joined in and you would slide down really fast but it depends on how much momentum you built.

Minus: It was sad that we couldn't sleep in our tents because it would feel like we would be in Omana and the teachers wouldn't just stare at you.

Interesting: It was really interesting when the gas cooker set on fire because no one backed away everyone kept moving forward to get a better look.

Gallipoli was the main place where the ANZAC's battled.
The first chinese president who was in the war is not famous in NZ.

Caesars collar is leather but looks like metal
There is a powder called mustard.

.1 perascopes were used in the war.
.2 to knock out people during the night they used sort of a base ball bat but smaller and it had metal things spiking out of it.

.5 in Europe they said that spitfires were the best fighter airplane.
